A healthy person’s body has 5-6 liters of blood. It is made up of white-red and many nutrients. These also include platelets. Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout the body. When the number of platelets in the blood starts decreasing, it is called thrombocytopenia in medical terms. If the number of platelets of a person falls below 10 thousand, the risk of bleeding increases. Due to excessive bleeding, kidneys, liver and lungs do not function properly.
